Yes, I'll contact Hannah's player to let her know that you've got a character headed her way, though there's really nothing to confirm. I've approved you into the game, and by proxy you're approved as boarding at that stable, so feel free to start posting there and whatnot. You'll recieve a PM from your barn owner to get you situated and make sure all is well with your character and such, but there's no need to wait for this to begin playing.

If you remember your other ones, just reply again and I'll get them as well. I'm glad to help. :-)

Another question! I noticed there were only Training/Novice and Intro Test 1+ in the Prelim show, are there USEA based divisions in shows? Amoeba, Tadpole, Beginner Novice, Novice, etc. I only ask this as well, because I saw that OHE has Novice and up courses, no BN or lower. Hehe, thanks!

Okay, bear with me here since I don't actually ride dressage and don't know much about it...

As far as ES goes, we're using USEF regulations and guidelines for our class divisions and restrictions where applicable, and though I would assume that for any three-day events we would go by USEA, for this particular show, the dressage is based on USEF regulations. This would of course mean that Training Level = Novice, and then working your way up from there. I was unaware that Amoeba or Tadpole were levels, though as far as they go as well as the Beginner Novice, I didn't include them because in my dressage-illiteracy, I went directly from USEF and copied their divisions for everything listed. Of course, for specialized dressage shows, more lower, in between, and "play" levels would be added for showing opportunity, but for this one considering the fact that it is for competitors of all disciplines, we went for the bare necessities.

I assume you ask this all because Leigha would fall in one of these lower catagories, though, so I'll sort of cover you there. Do whatever you want to do and need to do for Leigha's plot. I'm assuming that you want her to show, in which case I'd suggest go ahead and assuming for game circumstances that the Training level pattern was executable for her. However, if you're looking for an excuse to have her opt out of dressage, by all means use it. If you're showing, though, I'd go ahead and take the Training level as the division you're looking for.

Hope that helped!

Heh, I'm no dressage expert myself. For eventing, as far as I know, the tests and levels correspond somewhat like this:

Amoeba: Intro Tests A and B (USDF)
Tadpole: Training Test 1 (USDF)
Than B-N to Advanced uses tests for those levels (i.e. Beginner Novice Test A & B)

Don't quote me on that though. I'm going ahead and putting Leigha into Level Two or something jumper and a level 1 dressage test, I just didn't know what to put her gelding-in-training in. xP Thanks though, I was just wondering.

Also, will there be any USEF horse trials?

Alrighty, that sounds fine. Put Leigha into whatever levels you feel are appropriate, and I would just put the gelding in the training and assume he's doing work that is appopriate for his age and his training, even if maybe in RL it wouldn't be. We aren't going to hunt you down and point fingers for something like that, as long as it's reasonable. :-)

And I'd been planning on using USEF regulations for all of the events that correlated there (we've been using AQHA for the western stuff, and I'd assume that if racing ever makes it's debut, we'd use Jockey Club regulations there). I'm not all that familiar with the differences between a USEF horse trial and a USEA horse trial, so that'll be something I will have to look upon before the first horse trial gets posted. Whichever seems to be the more friendly system for the majority of our characters' levels and experience will be the one I go with. We're tenatively planning on having a horse trial of some sort in late April, so there you go. :-)

Hope that was of some help. :-)

Hey girls! Thought I might be able to help a little.

The USEA did not truly recognize anything below Novice. Previously BN only had "guidlines" and not rules. In '06 it became recognized and was given it's own set of regulations regarding fences and dressage tests.

USEA levels are:

Beginer Novice - 2'7" max height, ver simple walk/trot/canter dressage tests

Novice -at 2'11" max height with dressage tests similar to the upper Training level tests in USDF

Training - 3'3" max, dressage tests resemble first level with the start of lengthenings

Prelim - 3'6" max, dressage tests include lengthenings and leg yields

Intermidiate - 3'9" max, 2nd level type dresseage

Advanced - 3'11" max, 2nd/3rd level dressage

There are major jumps as far as width of fences, complication of questions asked, fence combinations allowed, and level of fitness and conditioning required in between a few levels. These jumps are most commonly seen from Training to Prelim, and then from Intermidiate to Advanced.

The USEF typically starts recognizing levels at Prelim and up.

As far as the full three days (which arn't really full format anymore), they are run under FEI rules which are similar to USEF rules. Their levels are the:

CCI* - similar to a Prelim level
CCI** - similar to Intermidiate
CCI*** - in between Intermidiate and Advanced (just as an interesting fact this is about the level that the olympics runs at)
CCI**** - a little more demanding than Advanced (there are only 3 or 4 in the world)

Hey, thank you so much for the eventing help! I had always been under the assumption that the FEI levels were all above the Beginner Novice - Advanced levels, like you got to the Advanced level then move up into CCI*, CCI**, and so on, but hey, you learn something new every day. :-D Judging from this information, then, when we do hold a three-day event, we'll most likely use the USEA regulations since there seems to be some more opportunity to show there, especially for the characters who many not be doing 3'6" fences or the appropriate Prelim level of dressage.

Thanks again!

I know that Amoeba and Tadpole aren't recognized by the USEA, but they are around here all the time. Amoeba level is *I think* 18" verticals and Tadpole is 2'3" which would give even more opprotunity, especially for beginners. =) If we had BN though, I'd be happy.
