Rice Equestrian Center
30 Acre Privately-Owned Training Facility




Stabling Facilities:


  • One, thirty stall, concrete block barn. Stalls in this barn are 14x14. Fully equipped with running water, electricity, cross-ties, a tack room (with saddle racks and bridle hooks), a feed room, restrooms, and four wash stalls. All stalls have a packed red clay foundation, are padded with rubber mats along the floor, are cushioned four feet up along the sides, and bedded with SunCoast large sized shavings. There are tack trunks and hangers positioned in the alleyway outside of each stall, though all personal tack trunks and equipment is expected to be kept neat. The barn is connected directly to the indoor arena and connected via overhang to the outdoor arena.


Pasturing Facilities:


  • One, five acre pasture complete with a lean-to shelter with water and hay available.

  • Three, one acre pastures complete with lean-to shelters with water and hay available.

  • Five individual grass turnouts with water available.


Riding Facilities:


  • One, 150x360, red clay, indoor arena. An air-conditioned administration office, which due to its tinted glass frame also doubles as a viewing booth, is attached. The arena can be insulated during the winter and opened up with fans at full power during the summer. Fully lighted and fully equipped with standardized USEF-type jumps.

  • One, 115x270, red clay, outdoor arena. Fully lighted and fully equipped with standardized USEF-type jumps.



Housing Facilities:


  • One dormitory-style, three-story building that can house in total 9 live-in students. Each floor consists of three sets of private bedroom and bathroom combos with a communal kitchen and living area on each floor. Fully equipped with fire alarms, sprinkler system, and security alarms, as well as carbon monoxide detectors. Wireless internet access it available at all times. Gym and pool accessible, as well as a parking lot for students and their guests. Still under construction! Projected date of completion: July 1st, 2007
